Pour Out the Sky

Impossible architecture inspired by the puzzle game Monument Valley and its sequel. These are amazing, beautiful games that you could be playing on your phone five minutes from now for a couple of bucks. Highly recommended. This optical illusion is a Penrose rectangle.

Lady Argent

Costume design concepts for Lady Argent from the interactive novel Fallen Hero. Lady Argent's superhero costume is never described in detail, but she joined the team around the same time as another character codenamed Herald, so I thought they both might have a medieval or fantasy look. It turns out that when you break them down, some of the same silhouettes occur in medieval clothing and modern activewear.

Cownose Ray

A holiday gift for a friend who loves cownose rays. Lots of stingrays like to be petted, so here's one getting some love from a friendly bodyboarder or something.

Donut

It's 2023, so I guess I can't put off learning Blender any longer. From the famous BlenderGuru donut tutorial, with some modifications by me (additional sprinkle shapes, some elaborations on the donut texture for the sake of exploring shader nodes, etc).

Expert Wizard for the Defense

Inspector Irratino from Murdle, who will testify for the defense in court if you solve the daily puzzle incorrectly. His testimony is always, like, a riddle he heard on the wind, or a card reading he did, but the entire court treats this with total seriousness (and he's always right!). It's unclear the extent to which Irratino's occultism involves him doing actual magic and how much is just him knowing things he shouldn't; him getting on the stand and rambling about a dream he had for twenty minutes while the jury takes notes and absolutely nothing visibly occult happens might be the funniest version of this, but I got to thinking about the PowerPoint presentations that expert witnesses are always giving in courtroom dramas, and here we are.

Water Cools the Fever's Glow

Water Cools the Fever's Glow is a MagicaVoxel rendition of the Well that Never Runs Dry and its guardian, from this Thalasso Hobbyer video. I used shaders by Lachlan McDonald, Patrick Seeber and mode_vis to make this.
